The O'Brien: Stage is set for a massive NOCTURNAL finale
Posted November 8th, 2008 by scottsigler
We're heading into the final show-down in NOCTURNAL, and most of it takes place on board the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, a retired WWII Liberty Ship that resideson Pier 45 in San Francisco. Your FDO™ is once again venturing into uncharted territory -- since this is an accessible "set," I'm going to show you what the set looks like before-hand so you can mentally follow the action (click the "read more" tag below to see the rest of this post).

Central Valley Reports footage on O'Brien: Some great history and archival photos of the O'Brien |
A tour of the O'Brien is a bad-ass thing. Big-ol' honkin' machine guns and cannons (which, sadly, are not working and the FDO™ was not allowed to rain shells upon downtown San Francisco). The tiny four-man rooms of the O'Brien give you much respect for the men that served on these ships for long, dangerous Atlantic crossings. So take a look around. You'll soon see some of these same "sets" in the finale of NOCTURNAL, as Rex, The Ninja, Pooks, Sly, Pierre, Chief Zou, Frank Lanza, Dimitri Vassiloff and some other interesting friends get together for what promises to be one hell of a party. Here's a couple more vids: |

Saw the "O'Brien" on Mythbusters
the other night. They were trying to cook a turkey by taping it to the microwave emitter. Myth Busted!

Scott,
this is absolutely freakin awesome. This will make SO much of a difference in my understanding of the final show. Thanks for the link!
Exactly!
You have some Idea of where and what the interior of the ship look like.
