Siglerism Flag: As designed by Junkie John MerlinThere were many, many glorious flags of Siglerism, but I could only choose one. This design by Junkie John Meriln wins the contest, and is the official Flag of Siglerism. I thought this bold image would strike a striking figure when I strike death into the hearts of the world, using, of course, my strike force.
• Signed hardcover of CONTAGIOUS
• Signed, mint-condition paperback of ANCESTOR (which is out of print)
• Appointment as Minster of Flag Design in Siglerism

I have only one question: will sigler choose one of the flag designs in this thread, and then ask the designer to make it better, or will he ask the winner to design a new one for him?

JP, master of the simultaneous insult/compliment! I saw those postings after 11/30 and had to say something....
And Scott really is busy as fuck right now. I don't think many people realize exactly how much work he's putting into 12 days of Sigmas. And that's on top of everything else that he's continuing to put out.

Good idea. Missed this the first time around
Any idea what she might want? Mae is probably a good choice for a depository/shopper if we can figure out something. I like the idea of getting the Evil Queen something for being so supportive of Scott. We frequently show our support for the FDO, but the Evil Queen's critical role as his support mechanism is often overlooked. As are his canine friends.
I do think it's critical that we respect her anonymity however. As far as I know, there are no pictures of Scott with his wife online and he has never mentioned her by name. We need to respect her privacy. If the junkies want to get her something, that's great, but it needs to be done tastefully and through an intermediary such as Mae (or even Scott himself). Someone who is already familiar with her secret identity.

The first two below drop in a little Ancestor-like science: the amino acid chain S I G L E R, consisting of Serine (S), Isoleucine (I), Glycine (G), Leucine (L), Glutamic Acid (E), and Arginine (R). I figure it could just be embroidered on the flag, like logos on a ball cap or polo shirt. (Tell me Baby McButter wouldn't be scarier with that peptide dropped into the mix. What does it do? I don't know, but I know it's probably not good.)
The rest use Ionath Krakens tentacles, Orbiting Death Skulls (The Rookie); Felony Marking Program racoon rings and zebra stripe (Red Man); and Triangles (Infected), of course. (Which I'm sure y'all already know.)

I'm sticking to audio editing
It's still nowhere close to what I was envisioning in my head, but hopefully you get the idea. Earthcore knife impaling planet. Would have actually been *in* the planet if I could have figured out how to use the layering in my art program correctly. Cest la vie. This kind of makes it look like the knife is a spaceship coming to conquer which works too I suppose. I just plain suck with artsy stuff. At least I'm good with editing. I was going to submit multiple flags, but after toiling over this one for so long, I'll leave it to those who are better qualified. At least I finished (kind of) one. And I haven't seen anyone else using Earthcore stuff. See you in January!

And on a more ponder my navel kind of note: I saw you said you'd altered Scott's design originally. I assume he own's that copyright. So exactly how much do you have to alter something before youu can re-copyright it?

i hadn't thought of that. duh. and it was probably not the best thing to call him an asshole. as an art student and aspiering artist, i have a strong protective instinct toward my work, hence the strong reaction

I was gonna say...
I'm glad you said something, cause I saw the designs and had to double check WHO posted those flags. Then I realized it was someone else just re-using YOUR symbol design over and over.
For shame...
Not only are those flags invalid now, but I agree- no possible way those took 100 hours. Unless you are using your mouse with your nose or something. Horrible!

CapnCancer might really have cancer. Or could be an absolute art tard like me. My design took me FAR longer than it should have to create and it's pretty simple. Then again, I was also trying to figure out how to use an art program at the same time. So I had to fight BOTH art & tech tardedness simultaneously ;)
PS Is that a snipe on your shoulder? Have you managed to tame the savage beast?
